What began in 1975 as a single kitchen in Theni has become a landmark of the district's food culture. Hotel Thattivilas built its name on consistency: the same recipes, prepared the same way, served across five decades.
Today the brand operates as an A/C Veg & Non-Veg restaurant, serving both traditional Chettinad-style non-vegetarian dishes and a full vegetarian menu.
Hotel Thattivilas opened its doors in Theni in 1975. Over the years it grew from a local favourite into one of the traditional hotels of Theni district, known well beyond the town itself.
Word of mouth did the work: the biryani, the parotta, and the kulambu varieties brought people back, and their families after them.
Hotel Thattivilas serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus in air-conditioned comfort, with takeaway and parcel service available alongside dine-in.
The kitchen covers traditional South Indian fare as well as North Indian and Chinese dishes, so a full table can eat together whatever each person prefers.
